Tips + Trends: {Not-So Mellow} Yellow

Like in any industry, the trends, hot colors and styles change year to year. In the stationery world, we see the new "it" color, typestyle or pattern emerge at the National Stationery Show every May in NYC. But this year, it's clear to me that one of the new 2010 stationery trends has already emerged :: YELLOW! And not your pale, blah, boring yellow either. We are talking bright, fun, vibrant yellow! The kind that makes you automatically smile and dream of sunny summer days or remind you of the beautiful forsythias blooming all over town. Now I can't say that yellow is one of my personal faves (I'm a green girl as anyone who knows me would agree) but I find myself drawn to cheerful hue this year (I even tried on a pair of bright yellow summery flats the other day, although I did wimp out and buy the boring, neutral color but they were fun to wear for at least a few minutes!). And I realized just how how popular this color seems to be as it's all around the store these days making it a very cheery place to be!
